In 2006, two young Israelis with a shared passion for colored gems and an obsession with quality decided to join forces. Gilad had spent years travelling to Madagascar, digging through rough, building relationships with miners, learning to spot what others missed. Daniel lived for the cutting wheel — always pushing for finer calibration, cleaner finish, stones that looked alive.
Together they started Shoham with one simple goal: to produce the best calibrated gemstones possible. Not the cheapest. Not the easiest. The best. That's still the only standard we know.
Nearly two decades later the team has grown — Gali, Gilad's son, joined to bring Shoham to a new generation of jewellers and designers around the world. Same passion. Same stones. New chapter.

Gilad has spent nearly three decades travelling the world's mining regions, developing an unmatched instinct for selecting rough gems, and building great relationships with our long-term suppliers. He knows what a stone can become long before it reaches the cutting wheel.

Daniel's discipline is precision. As lapidary manager, he has overseen the cutting of thousands of stones, always pushing for the finest cut possible and the most exacting finish. His standards are the reason Shoham stones are trusted by designers and high jewellery houses all over the world.

Gali grew up around gemstones. As Gilad's son, he joined the company to build Shoham's presence with a new generation of trade buyers — bringing a modern approach while staying rooted in the values his father and Daniel built from the start.

Shoham has built a particular reputation for Madagascan stones — a region known for exceptional garnets, sapphires and other rare colours that are difficult to source consistently at calibrated quality. Gilad's long-standing relationships with suppliers in Madagascar mean Shoham can offer stones that most traders simply can't find.
Every stone is cut to the tightest calibration standards. We don't compromise on finish — it's the founding principle we've held since 2006.
Every order is handled personally, via WhatsApp or email. We know our buyers by name, and we stand behind every stone we sell.
We source what we know. Our network is built on decades of direct relationships with miners and suppliers — not brokers or middlemen.
